Note: The Pulse Analysis System is not based on measurement of Human body parameters such as blood pressure, heartbeat, etc.

The Pulse Analysis System is based on informational component of signal (human pulse wave) such as shape. Physical base of signal is of no importance.

The methods that laid in base of PAS are universal and allows to analyze all objects, not only human.

Concepts
(it may be difficult to understand, but it's the base of analysis)

  1. Medicine - science of management of person's condition , as multivariate object with the expressed hierarchy and polarity of connections.
  2. Management of a condition of the person is based on principles of autonomy and invariance of multivariate action - conditions.
  3. The General task of management - achievement of a condition of controlled object on the task, rules or the law, determined by the purpose of existence of object, by application of managing influences on the positive and negative feedback, forming multivariate structure of object.

Autonomy - independence orthogonal conditions and managing factors from orthogonal managing influence.
Invariance - the property of the management resulting in achievement of a preset condition of object irrespective of any conditions (full indemnification of external influence).

WU-XING as the structure of management, has the strongly pronounced hierarchical autonomy, covered by plural positive (generation) and negative (suppression) by feedback.

Introduction

Pulse diagnostics - is proved method of diagnostics, founded on laws and concepts of oriental philosophy and medicine: YIN-YANG, WU-XING, ELEMENTS, Qi energy and etc.

Purpose of oriental pulse diagnostics is to estimate the unbalance of Yin and Yang in human body, energy condition and to make out a diagnosis in form of deformations of various types of Qi energies from harmony. This harmony is defined in theory of PAS and called SING-order.

The aim of the oriental medicine doctor is to maintain a balance of Yin and Yang within the whole person to prevent illness occurring and to restore existing health.

Pulse wave is reading at the points of Cun, Guan, Chi (Figure 1).

Fig.1. Pulse reading points

Pulse points are situated on lungs meridian and have in pulse diagnostics such names as Cun, guan', chi.

The positions on hand in points cun, guan, chi, have a connection with the functional systems, which include internal organs, their function, external and internal energy channels, structure and the part of the body (as it showed in Table 1).

Note: Table 1 does not show the direct correspondence of pulse positions with internal organs. These names of internal organs are called channels (meridians) by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Channels include internal organs as well.

Table 1. Correspondence of the positions on hands with the internal organs for men and women.

Position
on the hand

Left hand Right hand
Surface pulse Deep pulse
Deep pulse
Surface pulse
Cun Men   Small intestine Heart Lungs Large intestine
Women Large intestine Lungs Heart Small intestine
Guan Gall bladder Liver Spleen Stomach
Chi Urinary bladder Kidneys Pericardium Three cavities

Pulse is palpating by practitioner on both hands of patient at the points of cun, guan, chi respectively. At each point palpate several positions in the depth, they are deep pulse and surface pulse positions.

Further pulse wave is recorded by special sensor and is analyzed in computer . The analysis is based on: the systematic development of cyclic interactions of elements and structure of pulse, tensor analysis, etc.

The advantage of the method of PAS computer pulse diagnostics consists in better objectivity of the evaluations of the obtained information (computer minimizing human factor). It takes 5-10 days to teach basic methods of computer Pulse diagnosis.

Brief theory

Oriental philosophy theory is stated in many literary sources. Subject field laid in the basis of Pulse Analysis System (PAS) is founded on oriental philosophy and fundamentals of Cun Cou May theory. Main concepts are contained in base categories as follows:

  1. Yin-Yang
  2. Elements
  3. WU-Xing laws
  4. Qi energy
  5. SING-order (our development)

Further, you will find short statement of these categories features which are of vital importance to understand principles of PAS design and functioning.

1. Yin-Yang [introduction/brief theory]

Yin-Yang is essence of dualism, plus and minus, up and down, duality, being immemorial dynamics of processes and objects. Example of these Yin-Yang in physics is potential and kinetic energy, Motion and Rest, Beginning and End.
The main thing therewith is: everything moves, motion is the result of opposition, cooperation and at last existence (fact of realization).

It may also be interpreted as follows: dualism (duality) is basis and result of existence of some rules, laws etc. That is why distinguishing of Yin and Yang is properly situation (analysis) beginning, display of the main rule or law.
Domination of Yin or Yang somewhere definitely leads to such notions as excess and lack, which inform about availability of any tendency (motion, dynamics, realization).

For us it is very important to understand Yin potentiality (failure to realize) and Yang dynamism (realization), their capability to create. All this leads to necessity to understand where all this takes place.

1.1 Yin-Yang laws

Law 1
Yin in Yang flourish, Yang in Yin flourish.
Lonely Yang does not give birth, forlorn Yin does not nourish.
Essence of birth is in Yin and Yang.
Yin from Yang separates, vital energy terminates

Law 2
Yin vanishes - Yang collects.
Yang vanishes - Yin collects.

Law 3
Mutual constant opposition of Yin and Yang,
or mutually determinant conditions of existence.

Law 4
Dual Yang certainly turns into Yin,
Dual Yin surely becomes Yang.

Consequence of the 1st and 2nd laws:
Yin and Yang are always in polar opposition.

2. Elements [introduction/brief theory]

Elements as a frame of reference make it possible for us to characterize objects and processes.

That is why main feature of elements is their capability to control object or process.

Somewhere at abstract level object and process are a kind of dual (Yin-Yang) representation (realization) of any unified essence (Element). As the Chinese say: there can be much or little Yin-Qi or Yang-Qi. That is why the Chinese say: three Yin and three Yang. Form has flourishing or ruin. This means that control is fulfilled by Five Elements.

Elements are called as follows: Tree, Fire, Soil, Metal, Water.
It is important for us to understand ability of five Elements to represent objects and processes and control them. Question follows: how can this happen?

3. WU-Xing laws [introduction/brief theory]

Law 1. Mutual birth of Elements. Cycle of mutual birth (generation) is as follows:

Tree gives birth to Fire, Fire gives birth to Soil, Soil gives birth to Metal, Metal gives birth to Water, Water gives birth to Tree

Law 2. Mutual suppression of five Elements (control cycle):

Tree breaks Soil with roots, Soil covers Water, Water pours Fire, Fire fuses Metal, Metal fells Tree.

Cycle of inner circulation: Tree, Fire, Soil, Metal, Water, Fire-Minister.

Object or process as an Element appearance based on Yin-Yang interaction are pursuance of purpose, fulfillment of law or rule, for example, principle of least action, energy conservation law etc.

WU-XING should be understood as a set of rules of Elements interaction with which control of any object, process or man is fulfilled.

4. Qi energy [introduction/brief theory]

There are six types of Qi (Cold, Heat, Aridity, Humidity, Wind and Fire) which correspond with specific Elements (masters, rulers) (Water, Fire, Metal, Soil, Tree, Fire-Minister) respectively. Qi is the foundation of any realization of object or process.

Quotation:
"Three Yin and three Yang expand and then Cold, Heat, Aridity, Humidity, Wind and Fire rule".

Main point is: it is necessary to understand, that Elements may rule only via Qi in accordance with Yin, Yang, WU-XING laws.

5. SING-order - rule of Qi distribution [introduction/brief theory]

Main features of SING-order are:

Health Matrix

Fig.4. Health Matrix

Health matrix is the integrated assessment on person's health comes from pulse reading and PAS analysis (see figure 4). Health Matrix (further HM) displays the deformation (deviation from Sing-order (in other words health). Each cell is deviation between element actual energy and this element energy in circulation in accordance with the rule of generation. Values are in percentage to total energy of all 12 channels.

Result of the analysis - a health matrix .
According to principles of hierarchy, invariance and autonomy of multivariate systems (on which the WU-Xing scheme is based):

  1. Lines in HÌ are representation of convolution of three-dimensional, polar space of process of interaction of vectors of deformation of Yin and Yang of Qi energies level of hierarchy of the appropriate elements.
  2. Columns in HM represent cumulative a vector of deformation of Qi energy of elements of a level of hierarchy WU-XING.

Semantic loading of categories ELEMENTS and QI ENERGY of ELEMENT is used as parity (ratio) of REGULARITY and DIMENSION (qualitative and quantitative characteristics) for phase space of five elements.

Cells of Ì are square-law estimations of the appropriate projections of the generalized vectors Qi energies of elements and by virtue of uniformity and isotropy of space and time Ì is necessary and sufficient for the description of a condition of the objects having a similar nature and structure

Dynamics of such objects is connected to application of a principle of the least action, generalized which integral of movement is determined by means of differential of Ì. This section is in development and will be published on a site.

In other words the Health Matrix serving as a direct guide apply any type of therapy (according to Bu-Xie methodic) .
